Step into the spotlight for an unforgettable evening inspired by the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Gowns  and tuxedos are warmly encouraged—we do love a little red-carpet flair!—but not required. Your Sunday best is perfectly welcome. Come as you feel fabulous.

Enjoy a festive evening of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, a lively silent auction, and an exclusive 1930s exhibit that captures the magic of Hollywood’s most iconic era.

Reconnect with friends, meet new ones, and dance the night away in celebration of community and tradition.

And the highlight of the evening? We are delighted to honor Mrs. Ann Katzenberg as our Guest of Honor at this year’s McConnell Ball. A beloved educator and true community icon, Ann has taught thousands of Richmond-area students over the course of her remarkable career. She grew up in Solon Mills, Illinois, attending grade school there before spending her freshman year at the “new” school on Broadway in Richmond—now known today as the Richmond Arms building. These early experiences helped shape her lifelong dedication to education and community. Ann later made Richmond her home, where she spent many years as a cherished teacher at Richmond Grade School, inspiring generations of students and families. Her influence has left a lasting mark on our community, reminding us why celebrating Richmond’s history—and the people who shape it—matters so much.  Please join us in celebrating Ann on April 11!
